AAP launches Engagement Impact Grants

As part of the Engaged College Initiative and in partnership with the Einhorn Center, the College of Architecture, Art and Planning is advancing its collective mission to imagine and build a better world by expanding opportunities and activities related to engaged teaching, learning, research and creative work.

Over the next three years, the college will offer Engagement Impact Grant opportunities to students and faculty seeking to further develop and deepen a shared understanding of what engagement as a common practice means within, across and for AAP disciplines.

Engaged learning is a means not only for addressing global challenges such as climate change and pervasive inequities, or leveraging existing knowledge and resources — but also for creating new knowledge and ways of thinking, making and doing that drive transformation in cities and communities. Grant funding will be available to all AAP faculty and students (located in Ithaca, NYC or Rome) in three areas: research and creative work, convenings and curricular innovation.
