2023-24 Faculty Fellow in Engaged Learning Project
Virginia Moore is working with Engaged Faculty Fellow Hale Ann Tufan to develop a course: People, Plants and Participation: Plant Science Research With and For Communities. This course will include both participatory research theory and opportunities to practice and build participatory research skills for students around plant-science topics.
During their fellowship year, they will explore ways to build relationships with community partners that are mutually beneficial and design project-based approaches to integrate student skill development (e.g., needs assessment, co-design of research projects, data collection, analysis and interpretation) in the course.
